Sign up for the Alligator Alumni Association

To the alumni and friends of the Florida Alligator,™ and since 1973, The Independent Florida Alligator,™

As you may know, Campus Communications, Inc., the publisher of The Alligator, recently sold its offices at 1105 W. University Avenue, where so many of you worked long into the night after a full day of classes. It was a decrepit old frat house, but it was our home. Moving The Alligator to its new offices at 2700 SW 13th Street in Gainesville represents the end of an era.

It’s also the start of a new one—for The Alligator and its alumni.

It’s my pleasure to report that Patricia “Trish” Carey,The Alligator‘s General Manager; Jean Chance, Campus Communications Board Chairman; a group of volunteer alumni, including Alligator Alumni Association Directors Ron Sachs and Margo Pope; and I are working closely together to activate the Alligator Alumni Association, which will be for the alumni and friends ofThe Alligator.

We would like to share upcoming news about the Alligator Alumni Association andThe Alligator with you and other alumni. To do so, we need your help.

We envision an alumni association where the alumni can reconnect (and stay connected) with each other andThe Alligator; supportThe Alligator and its students with your time, expertise, and resources; and participate in the governance of the association.

After you submit the form, please share it with your friends: forward this email, post on Facebook and pick up the phone. We want to reach every person—whether from the newsroom, advertising, promotions, production, business or circulation—who wants once again to be a part of the publication that gave us so much.

Here’s the link to the form again:
